If you are interested in coming to work with us it is important that you know that Strawberry Care is an Employee Ownership Company.


Employee ownership is where the employees of a business own, through a trust, shares in the company. This form of business ownership is rapidly growing in popularity as it offers a number of valuable benefits for businesses, their employees and the owners. This concept is not a new one. The John Lewis Partnership was formed as an employee-owned company in 1929 by a visionary of his time, John Spedan Lewis.

Employee ownership helps companies retain their independence, attract and retain talented staff (crew) and share profit related bonuses based upon the performance of the company. It also serves to create and develop a positive culture, within the company and for the company which will benefit our housemates.



Strawberry Care will be recruiting staff at all levels for its new homes from 2021.


There will be a wide range of full and part time staff opportunities, where applications are now invited, with excellent salaries and good career prospects through the company.


If you have a qualification in care or are just starting out in your career, we will be interested to hear from you.


Training and support will be given to allow you to fully develop your own career and to grow through the company.




We would also like to hear from those who have retired and yet do not want to ‘walk the dog all day’. If you have skills or an interest, please contact us to see whether or not you can become involved in our on-site programmes.





We are also looking for volunteers to work with us in running the many clubs and activities we will have on site. Even if you have not experienced working with dementia before, don’t worry, training and support will be given. You will really just be a friend of those who live with us and help and assist using whatever skills you may have.
